This week we are celebrating the hard work done by our charity partners, The Lily Foundation, who are raising awareness for Mitochondrial Disease and supporting families with children suffering from the disease.
This year the Lily Foundation is celebrating it’s 15th Anniversary, and we are proud to support them as they take on their 15th year in the fight against Mitochondrial Disease.
The charity has launched their 15More campaign to raise awareness and fund research towards a cure, and aims to help towards another 15 years of research and positive change. All you need to do if you want to get involved is to get 15More people involved with The Lily Foundation.
Some ideas for raising awareness:
- Get 15 people to sign up for a Lily fitness challenge
- Invite 15 people to sign up for their newsletter
- Arrange for 15 people to place a Lily collection tin in local shops
Donations raised through the 15More campaign enables the charity to fund research into Mitochondrial Disease aiming to find treatment and a cure. Corporate fundraiser, Sarah Moore commented on the partnership,
“Bendac’s relationship with The Lily Foundation started back in 2021 when David approached me and said he was humbled by the fundraising that I was doing for the charity and as an organisation wanted to support them further in memory of my two daughters lost to mitochondrial disease, Harriet aged 18 months and Kimberley aged 4 years.
I was extremely touched and emotional by the kindness shown. I am honoured knowing they have become a key business charity partner and have hugely supported the work and fight for a cure against mitochondrial disease, raising much-needed awareness. The charity wouldn’t be able to do the work that they do without the support and the amazing impact of such special organisations as Bendac and their fantastic team. The Lily Foundation and I are truly grateful for their ongoing support and look forward to working together in the years ahead.”
